I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in holistic and integrative approaches to mental health counseling. As a holistic psychotherapist, I consider mental, physical, and spiritual factors all to be important when assessing a client’s therapeutic need. I work with the basic principle that body-mind integration is a crucial part of health and wellness. In this way, my work with clients is to gain awareness of the connections between their emotions, thoughts, physical experiences, and spiritual understandings.
My approach includes mindfulness and present moment awareness, skills to regulate our nervous systems, non-judgment tools such as self-compassion and self-appreciation, and values exploration. I am also interested in supporting clients to develop wellness practices such as nutrition, movement, and mindfulness as a further support for mental health and wellness. My desire is to support clients along a path of self-discovery and to develop the tools needed to transform anxiety, depression, trauma, and related symptoms. I hope to support clients to discover what they want for their lives, obstacles that may be getting in the way of living optimally, and ways to transform these obstacles in order to live a more valued life.
I work with adults and adolescents aged 14 and older. I can help people cope with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, attachment/relationship issues, eating disorders, PTSD, and other trauma-related symptoms
